A few London outings

In all my visits to Richmond Park I’ve never noticed the Isabella plantation. Fortunately a friend of mine knew about it and organised a visit there in the middle of spring – the perfect time to see the Azaleas in bloom.

I think it’s an excellent place to visit in Spring. Of course on a nice day, expect some frustration as you compete for a free car park.

Yesterday I visited Hampton Court and Gardens with Sarita, a friend of mine.

The palace itself was quite interesting, although I more enjoyed the gardens surrounding the palace. Even better, I was hungry and Sarita had kindly bought heaps of food for a picnic. The sun was out and I was able to rest off some of the meal.

It was a great day yesterday and I’m glad we were able to be outdoors; it now looks like rain has set in for the coming week.
