London Eye

My parents and I decided to use the great weather yesterday to visit the London Eye. This was my second visit and the first for my parents.

Afterward we walked to St James Park for some lunch. London has a number of impressive parks in the city and St James Park is a particularly attractive one.

It has a lake which attracts various bird life such as swans. The bridge crossing the lake is a popular spot for photos. Looking out in one direction you get good views of Buckingham Palace, and in the other direction views towards Westminster and London Eye in the background (shown below).

I was tempted to laze around in the sun for longer, but we had to get moving. I had read about a scale model of London on display at the New London Architecture Center. I thought it would be good to see this model on the same day as seeing the city from the London Eye.

Entry to the centre is free. The display is interesting enough but we only stayed for about 1/2 hour as there isn’t a great deal else to see.

This makes me want to travel to London again. Today, if possible! =)
