New Room

Today we moved into the newly refurbished ward.

It’s quite nice and everything is clean. The rooms are positively pressurised so they are suitable for patients with a high risk of infection.

New Room Weston Ward

A bonus is that the rooms are temperature controlled. A big relief coming into winter. In the old ward I had room temperatures ranging anywhere from 17 to 36 degrees! Ah the memories! During one of the boiling hot days I had Dad go to the hardware store to buy insulation pipe to cover a hot water service pipe running through my room. At the time I wasn’t too fussed though. I had just been admitted and was happy just to be getting the life saving drugs…sitting in a hot room was the least of my worries!

Glad you have a change of scenery, and that the temperature control will make it a little more comfortable!
