London Eye

Recently I traveled into the city for some sightseeing.

London Eye

I went on the London Eye – something I’ve wanted to do for a while. It’s 135 meters at the top, so gives great views around the city.

I still need to learn how to smile properly.

At the top. I was able to pick out Heathrow Airport, but that photo didn’t work out. The shots below are North and North East, I think…You can see a bit of Canary Wharf.

Our capsule had about 15 people, including a mother and daughter yabbering away in Finnish. These Finns pop up everywhere! I discreetly lingered around, trying to decipher some of the babble. All I was able to determine was that they were visiting the London Museum tomorrow. I guess I need to practice more.

For the record, I didn’t go to the museum the following day 😉

Looks like a good day for the London Eye. The photos turned out well. Did the Finns say anything about the “komea poikamies” lingering around?

I’m glad you didn’t go to the museum the next day! If you did that, coupled with your desire to ballroom dancing lessons I’d start thinking you were picking up some culture 😛

I don’t think if I visited all the museums in London I would get cultured 🙂
