A little excursion to the south east tip of England on the 31st May bank holiday.
On the first May Bank holiday, we visited the coastal village of St Margaret’s at Cliffe.
On the last public holiday before Christmas we visited Leeds Castle in Kent.
A glorious day! I received more direct sun today than the last few months combined.
Last Sunday 3rd May we took a short drive outside of Canterbury to walk in the woods whilst Bluebells were blossoming.
I stayed in Shrewsbury in Shropshire over the Easter break. On Saturday we had a day trip to Aberystwyth (or Aber as the locals call it) on the mid-west coast of Wales. The population can reach close to 20 000 when the University is in term. In some ways, Aber is to Wales what Perth is to Australia - isolated. I’ve enjoyed sunshine and perfect weather on my only two visits there, my first trip being 7 months ago.
